Be a Satisficers, not Maximizer
We should move from "Maximizer" to "Satisficer" in business or even in our love relationship". We will see a big difference in our company growth and our relationships with these changes.
Maximizers obsess over making the best possible decision and second-guess themself and feel bad about it; Satisficers make good decisions and feel good about them.
When I started my business, I always wanted everything to be perfect. Still, I always felt it was not what I wanted, and there must be a better way to do it after doing it. After some time, I transform myself from a maximizer to a Satisficer. I will have a benchmark of what I want. After achieving that minimum benchmark, I will always be happy with the outcome, no matter what.
"Decision-makers can satisfy either by finding optimum solutions for a simplified world or finding satisfactory solutions for a more realistic world. Neither approach, in general, dominates the other, and both have continued to co-exist in the world of management science." - Herbert Simon.
Are you Maximizers or Satisficers?
The best way to know if you are a Maximizer or Satisficer is by asking yourself a simple question.
Imagine you're on a two-hour flight. The plane takes off, and you begin scrolling through the movie options. Do you A) select the first movie that appeals to you? Within five minutes, you're reclining in your seat, eyes glued to Good Will Hunting. Or do you B) spend twenty-five minutes scrolling through every single new release, comedy, drama, documentary and foreign film, and all the TV shows, before committing to the absolute best option?
If you choose A, you are more likely a Satisficer. If you selected B, then you are clearly a Maximizer. (If you fall between A and B, you might be Satisficer in part of your life and Maximizer in the others.

Understanding yourself in the position is vital to guide you to proper transformation. By changing from Maximizer to Satisficer, you will significantly impact your life.
Transformed Maximizer to Satisficer
Transforming to Satisficer, I no longer keep chasing the perfect solution for the problem. My mindset is now more on getting things done within the acceptable standard instead of getting things done with perfection. By changing my perspective, I felt I had more time to finish more work instead of being stuck on the same work by thinking of another perfect solution.
We have to understand that we can't make everything perfect in our life. Sometimes, we will have to work with it to make things right. In business, if we want everything to be perfect, then the growth rate of our company will be dramatically slow because of the back and forth endless discussion of wanting to make things perfect.
Conclusion and advice
In life, we can't satisfy everything or everyone, set a benchmark, and once we achieve the standard, we move on.
